Beyond Angels We Have Heard On High!
Using the approved 2010 ICEL translation, this congregational setting of the mass for the catholic church uses the melodies from:
- God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,
- Angels We Have Heard On High,
- Adeste Fidelis (O Come All Ye Faithful),
- While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks By Night,
- O Little Town Of Bethlehem,
- Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,
- Joy To The World,
- Once In Royal David’s City,
- Infant Holy Infant Lowly,
- Good Christian Friends Rejoice,
- Silent Night
- and even the Hallelujah Chorus!
Encourage participation with familiar music. Many options are given (so you don’t need to use the Hallelujah Chorus for the gospel acclamation if you would rather save it for Easter, for example). “Glory To God” may be sung straight through without the “Gloria in excelsis Deo” refrain.
Purchaser is given permission to print from the file for choir and accompanists.
Parts included are:
- Vocal melody with keyboard accompaniment (no SATB at this time),
- Lead sheet with melody and chords, for contemporary ensemble (guitar, bass etc.)
- Tablet/Phone version for Cantors
