You And I

Two that have loved each other, through many adventures, years, lifetimes; two that help each other in ways imperceptible by others; these have a deep respect and admiration for each other. Now imagine the deep feelings between the Divine and the devotee; God and Jesus, or Moses, or any of his saints or quiet devotees. God is the ocean, we are the waves.

You and I, apart, together, changing ever changeless,
Loved, beloved, working, striving, for each other’s happiness.

Two and one, the wave, the ocean, apart yet never sep’rate.
Friend and friend from start to end, no one understands us yet.

Laughing, crying, singing, dancing together side by side.
Greater, smaller, lower, high it’s all the same to you and I!

World’s apart yet understanding what will always be:
Only peace continues flowing on throughout eternity.

Glowing warmly like the sun above
Silently we grow our perfect love.
